Not currently across the Internet. There are several technical process that must be in place before that can happen, such as security, session initiation and streaming audio, which as has been stated previously, will not be in the initial release of SmartSDR. The FLEX-6000s do operate on a local (single VLAN/ IP subnet) Ethernet network.

Remote access via the Internet is an inherent capability of the FLEX-6000s which is slated for a future release.

From what I'm reading, this describes a wired remote operation. Can the new
flex radios be accessed truly remotely, via an Internet connection?

Stu,

Happy to see I made your blog. You sounded great with your FLEX 6700 and
KW. I was running barefoot with my FLEX 5000. It appears you didn't have
to work too hard to hear me. Next time I'll put the big AMP on.
