You are correct. The Delta 44 does not use the typical Windows Mixer functions. For this reason, the controls which use the Windows Mixer (Line In Gain, MIC on the front panel) do not operate with this card. There is an API we can use to access the Delta 44 mixer, however, this will take some work and will have a learning curve since it doesn't operate in exactly the same way as the Windows Mixer.
