Dear CW ops using 1.3.4,
I was on my Sunday 3552 sked today and had all sorts of
weird problems with XMIT freq. RX seems to be FB.
They reported that I changed freq while xmitting (I was not
fiddling with anything on the console). It jumped 300hz
high. Of course I didn't know it from the RX and sidetone
which remained exactly on freq.
They reported that I was 700hz high when using VFO-A to
transceive. I changed to SPLIT and used VFO-B until they
said that I was 800hz low with both VFOs showing 3552.
They reported that I was low when I engaged my RIT.
Then after closing the Console and restarting it, RIT did
nothing on RX or TX.
Is anyone experiencing anything like this on CW?
Everything looked and worked perfectly on SSB (USB and LSB)
when running PSK31 yesterday. So maybe this is just in CW
mode? is it something weird in 1.3.4? I will drag out the
other rig (Jupiter) and listen to my signal. Maybe I can
identify what's going on by trying various controls and
carefully noting the effect.
Do you suppose I have RFI into the USB control cable?
