addendum: I had CAT engaged via the vCOM port for MixW (my
logging program). MixW showed 3551800 when the VFO showed 3552.
My setup is: Celeron 2.4Ghz, 1GB RAM, USB interface to
SDR-1000 + RFE + Delta-44.

Everything looked and worked perfectly on SSB (USB and LSB) when running
PSK31 yesterday. So maybe this is just in CW mode? is it something weird
in 1.3.4? I will drag out the other rig (Jupiter) and listen to my
signal. Maybe I can identify what's going on by trying various controls
and carefully noting the effect.
Do you suppose I have RFI into the USB control cable?
Any suggestions welcomed,
