Hi José and others.
I think I have led others to use com ports 7 and 8 just because I sent
you my configuration which uses those ports.
This is because my laptop has a lot of previously asigned com ports
numbers to other virtual coms for things like the celular phone,
bluetooth ports, modems and the like, and ports 1, 2 and 3 for real
hardware, so I tried to go to the safe side. You can´t use for vCom any
port number previously asigned, of course.
If your computer doesn´t have anything in ports 4 and 5, leave the the
standard vCom instalation as is. Then select one of this ports (lets
asume it is com 4) in the corresponding setup tab for SDR CAT control,
and select the other port of the pair (com 5 in this case) in the remote
control program.
