 we already have discussed many of these ideas before, so you end up reading the
same basic idea over again, and again.

It needs a fairly simple framework for individual customizations.

First of all, I'm probably whipping a dead horse, and this has probably been 
said in so many words in one of the many posts on this subject

Secondly, I agree that there has to be a basic or standard console as a 
starting reference, but....
Since no one console can or will be "ideal" for everyone. Might it be possible 
for you coding wizards to create several versions of each area of the console 
that could be drag and dropped onto the work surface in whatever arrangment 
that an individual user might desire?  Each 'button" or "slider" would then map 
to the proper line in code automatically.

I say this as a hardware type who is painfully ignorant of the inner workings 
of C# or any of the C languages and apologize in advance if this is a blatent 
parading of my stupidity in public.
