On the TX meter, use Microphone Modulation meter (Mic). You are
attempting to hover around 100%
on voice peaks. If you hit 120%, you are overdriving and it is being
clipped. The clipped signal is heavily
filtered but there is still distortion. There will be an improved
clipper tested soon.
