AB2VW, The problem is that the SDR-1000 microphone pin-out is SIMILAR to the Yaesu, but not necessarily exact. The SDR separates the PTT ground (Pin 5) & the microphone return (Pin 7) to minimize ground loops. The Yaesu microphones are not necessarily wired this way. I found that I had to jumper pin 5 to pin 7 in my interface box to use the mic for my Yaesu FT-847, P/N MH-31.
