Beware, there are TWO different Yaesu pinouts for microphones. I learned it the 
hard way... The pinout for e.g. the 
FT-736R and the FT-1000D is _different_ from the pinout for the FT-1000MP and 
the FT-2000

Two examples of microphones with different pinouts are the MD-1 and the MD-100, 
both Yaesu.
