To John and the others at Flex-Radio: As mentioned by Ross and others do you envision a replacement for a low power version down the line? My interest in ham radio is (like others) VHF and up. This past year I spent over $2K adding transverters for 50 through 903. The intent was so that I could add a 1W SDR-1000 to run them. Since I spent my savings on transverters I decided to hold off on the radio and save up for a FA-66, cables, Shuttle Pro, etc. first and then get the radio last. Since the announcement of the 1W discontinuation I'm now forced to act now or look at other options.
I've read over the last few days about the clone and other possible options but nothing seems to be as polished and supported as your radio. If I'm going to go the SDR route I think the only way I would do it is with one of your products. So if you can, please let me know if there is any 'official' plan in the future for a low power radio. Also is there any update on the ucb or some kind of replacement or are we left rolling our own like Mike's mini 4 band ucb? Thanks in advance, Dana N1OFZ I'm off to figure out how to juggle finances to see if it's possible to get an order in before the deadline.... _______________________________________________ FlexRadio mailing list FlexRadio@flex-radio.biz http://mail.flex-radio.biz/mailman/listinfo/flexradio_flex-radio.biz Archive Link: http://www.mail-archive.com/flexradio%40flex-radio.biz/ FlexRadio Homepage: http://www.flex-radio.com/ FlexRadio Knowledge Base: http://kb.flex-radio.com/
