Jerry, here's how you can do an transmit image calibration if you have another receiver
Set your transmitter to 14200 in USB Go to Transmit Rejection panel Activate Enable TX Image tone Set Drive power to 1 Click MOX -you should hear a tone in your second receiver Place second receiver in FAST AGC mode Note the signal strength of signal on the S-meter Switch your second receiver to LSB Note the signal strength Move the Phase and Gain sliders very slowly until you find the point where the signal decreases. Do this several times alternating between Phase and Gain. Once you get the lowest signal with the sliders, do the same with the up/down buttons to get even better suppression. You should get 30dB or more of rejection. Good luck. John P. Read the manual, scanned above and below the "TUN" frequency etc. I can hear lots of birdies but none change amplitude with the image rejection sliders. The manual is unclear as to where to listen for the image produced by PowerSDR and the SDR-1000. Been scratching my head for months with this subject. I run power during RTTY contests and worry that my image is QRMing stations, or worse they are trying to answer my image and not me! So, since I can not find the answer in the documentation, where is the image (Frequency) when I am in the Digl/CW low mode? Second what happens when one "Enables TX Image Tone"? Should one use the LSB/USB mode. If so is the signal path different from DIGL or CW thus requiring different adjustment? yours in confusion Jerry NO2T _______________________________________________ FlexRadio mailing list FlexRadio@flex-radio.biz http://mail.flex-radio.biz/mailman/listinfo/flexradio_flex-radio.biz Archive Link: http://www.mail-archive.com/flexradio%40flex-radio.biz/ FlexRadio Homepage: http://www.flex-radio.com/ FlexRadio Knowledge Base: http://kb.flex-radio.com/ _______________________________________________ FlexRadio mailing list FlexRadio@flex-radio.biz http://mail.flex-radio.biz/mailman/listinfo/flexradio_flex-radio.biz Archive Link: http://www.mail-archive.com/flexradio%40flex-radio.biz/ FlexRadio Homepage: http://www.flex-radio.com/ FlexRadio Knowledge Base: http://kb.flex-radio.com/
