I have a question for the group maybe some have had this issue.

My drive power on ssb seems to be down 10 db in comparing it to my 756pro. I've
made these tests on all bands so its not band related or antenna related.

On key down both rigs are in 5-10 watts of one another but on ssb the 756pro
seems to double the SDR's readings on my outboard peak reading meter.

On different bands with local hams they have all told me the 756pro is at least
two S units higher than the SDR-1000.

I recently hooked up a SG-500 amp to the SDR and found out the rig will drive
the amp on cw at 40 watts in and 500 out but on ssb it would not drive the amp
at that level, I had to set the drive at 100 to drive it to 500 watts.

Now keeping all the above in mind the SDR-1000 and SG-500 together give the
same signal strength as the 756pro with no amp.

I have done the power calibration a couple of times and the mic meter on the
SDR reads 0 to + like it should so I'm at a lose on what to try next.

In fact I have to SDR's and they both have this issue. On the one I'm using a
Behringer UB-802 with a Delta 44 and the other SDR I use the Edirol FA-66.

I've also tried the mic boost but that just increases the back round noise.

I hope I explained this well enough so anyone can give me some ideas.

Thanks
Smitty WB3IAL
