FYI - one guilty pgm is "easy-tune" - the fan / temp monitor with the "gigabyte" boards. Looks innocent, but every random amount of time the cpu just locks up for 2 to 5 seconds and the cpu usage doesn't show it!
I thought I was pushing the rig, but dropping back to 48000 didn't help. Eliminated by the process of same...
