Bill, I also want to avoid one more hardware box. But, with VAC & vCOM, we have all of the facilities we need for a stand-alone voice keyer program, IF PowerSDR can be modified to allow simultaneous use of both VAC & the microphone. No extra hardware boxes, just another program running, which could be your contest software with its built-in voice keyer (e.g., N1MM Logger). An integrated voice keyer would be nice, but simultaneous VAC & mic should be easier (and therefore quicker) to implement.
