I'm mixed on using automatic updates. When you first install a computer
and then go to the Microsoft update page, I select "Custom" and then
un-check IE7. You will get a warning about not getting updates... Then
in future automatic updates you will not get IE7. Ever since IE7 came
out, I never select the "Express" option.

On my servers, I turn off automatic updates.
