I have a large noise source from my neighbor's electric fences. It would sure be nice to use the Second RX with a separate dedicated antenna close to my noise source and then subtract this from the main receiver with software.

I have several local noise sources that have been causing problems, and I'm hoping to be able to eliminate or significantly reduce the noise by nulling it out with the deep null broadside to the vertical loop. The second RX will be a huge help in this effort, since I can simultaneously monitor the same band and frequency using two different antennas: the receiving loop, and the transmitting antenna. Also, the extreme high-Q of the loop provides a bandwidth at the -3dB point of only about 6 KHz, so my 'vision' of the band on the panadapter while using the loop will deteriorate rapidly either side of the current frequency, but I'll still be able to see the band on the TX antenna using the primary receiver as usual. I should also be able to examine and optimize the Q of the loop by using the panadapter as a spectrum analyzer to show the shape of the passband with just normal band noise. 73, Dale WA8SRA Craig Sande wrote: > I may seem a little slow, but would like to know how others plan to use the > new dual receive capabilities?
