I did open the unit back up to make sure the cables were seated properly
- both on the RFIO board and the RX2 board. Now when I start up the
radio it is like there is an attenuator in the rx line and the tx does
not put out any power. Into a dummy load I show no power out on the
watt meter, but the TX meter shows about 6 watts out and an swr of some
crazy number like -689:1 that keeps changing. On rx the s meter shows
about s5 for a broadcast station while the icom shows the same signal at
10 over. I suspect there is no antenna connected internally. The noise
level sits around -135db when normally it is around -120db. Usually an
AF of 10 is adequate now it is up to 60 and it still is not real loud.
I even renamed the db and started SPDR to create a new db but no
change. A real problem and I am going to bed now and perhaps tomorrow I
will put the original RFIO board back in to see that works ok. Any
thoughts here before I pull my hair out.
