When I use my ICOM 7800 I can key in and out of the fastest conversation on
80 meters (remember these guys key on the middle of the last word someone
says, so the conversations are fast) because the key and recieve is instant
on the 7800. But on my 5000 it is not as fast...there is a slight delay
compared to the other rig, not much but it is there. Is there a setting
where I can tighten up the key down speed and the time it takes to get back
to recieve. I use a hand key and a PR-780 mic. Also sometimes while I am
talking I will here the transmit relay click in and out once or twice. Not
very often does this happen but I just wondered if anyone else was
experiencing this. This is when I have the hand key closed for transmit. And
no I do not have the vox enabled....I checked....tnx in advance for any
help.
