I have received several emails concerning the tx fixes I announced last week.
Unfortunately I didn't
do a good job of explaining where/how to get the correct code. On top of that
I had mistakenly
thought the changes were merged into the main trunk, but they are not.

Today, 06/05/09, I loaded the last code from the main trunk and added the 'DX'
and 'CPDR' changes
and put the result in 'my' branch.

This is where you can get it:

svn://206.216.146.154/svn/repos_sdr_windows/PowerSDR/branches/k2ox/trunk/bin/Release

Here is how to get it:

Create a new folder (i.e. right click on the desktop, select new, select
folder, give it a name)
Right Click the folder, left click SVN Checkout, cut and paste the above URL
into the 'URL of
repository' Checkout Form, click OK.

After it is downloaded open the folder and run PowerSDR.exe

When it starts it will run optimization code and backup other data depending on
the radio model.
The Main Form should show 'Trunk v1.18.1 SVN: 3144' if you have the correct
version. The buttons
'DX' and 'CPDR' have also been relabeled 'DX*' and 'CPD*' to help keep track
of this test version.

This is the 'ONLY' version that has the 'DX and CPDR' fix. If you turn on
either DX or CPRD in a
non modified version the 'ALC Comp' meter will never go above 0 db. This
version will indicate
ALC Comp with and without the 'DX and CPDR' active.

Also, this code DOES NOT contain Bob's WBIQ code. It is the same code as
today's trunk code
with the DX and CPDR mod.

Tip on setting up you TX audio:
first adjust the mic gain for 2-3 db of 'ALC Comp' on voice peaks, if
it goes over this occasionally
no big deal. The ALC will control levels of greater than 30db, but you
will get a lot of noise
        between syllables/pauses.

Set the 'DX' to 3 for quality tx audio for rag chewing punch, more for
pile ups.

I also run 1ms attack time in the Setup/DSP/AGC/ALC form.

Once again, if you did things correctly, the buttons will be labeled DX* and
'CPD*.

A big thanks to Bob, N4HY, for fixing the tx alc.

Enjoy,
John
