For satellite work, it is highly recommended that you have a full duplex setup
so you can monitor the downlink when transmitting. Since the FLEX-3000 is a
half duplex radio, you will need another radio to enable full duplex
capabilities - or wait until the V/U module comes out for the FLEX-5000, which
is a full duplex radio.

Subject: [Flexradio] User experiences wanted: 2 M and 440 MHz transverters for
use with F3K

Looking to use the F3K for sattelite work (why did I not wait for the
upcoming /UHF VHFmodules and the F5K? Call it 'spreading out the cost of
station upgrade over a period of time, rather than all at once' Plus I
REALLY like the F3K for its size).

Any suggestions / recommendations welcome. I already have sat antennas and
mast pre-amps.

Thanks in advance.
