Jim, You wrote, "... but wouldn't it be great if powersdr was able to identify the digital mode being used..."
Although it is possible, it is not really practical. PowerSDR does not currently contain any code to process digital signals as anything other than normal audio & that would be necessary to support RSID. If I am not mistaken, "way back when" there was some thought given to including digital mode processing in PowerSDR. However, Flex made what is in my opinion a VERY wise decision to only have PowerSDR do what it does best -- control the radio. There are many other programs out there for the digital modes. It would consume far too much valuable software development resources (we're talking years here, just ask HB9DRV) to develop, maintain, & support digital mode processing. Besides, everyone has their own favorite flavor of digital mode software. That is where the RSID capability should logically reside, not in PowerSDR. 73, Ray, K9DUR http://k9dur.info _______________________________________________ FlexRadio Systems Mailing List FlexRadio@flex-radio.biz http://mail.flex-radio.biz/mailman/listinfo/flexradio_flex-radio.biz Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/flexradio%40flex-radio.biz/ Knowledge Base: http://kc.flex-radio.com/ Homepage: http://www.flex-radio.com/ Message delivered to arch...@mail-archive.com
