Bill, You are correct, N1MM only allows you to use COM1 through COM8. However, that is not really a deal-breaker. The ports in a pair do not have to be consecutive. I use 2 virtual port pairs to connect N1MM to PowerSDR. In N1mm they are COM7 & Com8, but they are paired with COM17 & COM18 respectively. PowerSDR does not have the serial port number limitation that N1MM has.
