Mouser Electronics is probably the least expensive and most reliable supplier of Fair-rite ferrite cores in Mix 31. (the most effective mix for HF noise control) They have both "big bead" and snap-on styles.

I'm in the middle of something at the moment, but will try to post some appropriate part #'s in a few hours.

FWIW, Amidon is a reseller that relabels and resells Fair-Rite and other manufacturer's products. There's nothing wrong with that, but if you're looking for the best price, then sticking to the original manufacturer's part #'s and using a front-line distributor will more often get you what you're looking for.

Subject: [Flexradio] Commom Mode Chokes - Purchasing Ferrite

G0UUT has pointed to some interesting links on Common Mode Chokes. Can
someone tell me a good source to purchase ferrite cores? A US source is
fine but wonder, since I am in Canada, if anyone knows a good reliable
Canadian source as well. Thanks. Mike . VE3BGE
