Computer headsets work just fine with the Flex, You just need to wire the
mic connector correctly.  I've used condenser and a dynamic set with my
3000.  I currently use the Koss SB40 with all of my radios, it has a dynamic
mic element, which is great for noisy areas.  I think I paid around 30 from
Amazon for it.  You will need to use a PTT for it, I've used a straight key
and a hand held PTT switch for that.
