Computer headsets work just fine with the Flex, You just need to wire the mic connector correctly. I've used condenser and a dynamic set with my 3000. I currently use the Koss SB40 with all of my radios, it has a dynamic mic element, which is great for noisy areas. I think I paid around 30 from Amazon for it. You will need to use a PTT for it, I've used a straight key and a hand held PTT switch for that.
