"I use a mic gain of 0, and even that seems sometimes too high." Your Mixer setting is set WAY TOO HIGH. Bring it down so that your MCI gain control is set near mid scale (~30) and your voice peaks on the ALC meter are at - 3 dB. The ALC meter should never hit 0 dB.

Thank You Bob Brennan AD6HF I am using them quite successfully. The only problem is that the mic inputs in the front panel RJ-45 are VERY sensitive to RFI, so be sure you choke the heck out of the connecting cable using snap-on ferrites. I use a mic gain of 0, and even that seems sometimes too high. -- Dave Gomberg, San Francisco NE5EE Programming since 1959 All addresses, phones, etc. at http://www.wcf.com/ham/info.html ----------------------------------------------------------------- _______________________________________________ FlexRadio Systems Mailing List [email protected] http://mail.flex-radio.biz/mailman/listinfo/flexradio_flex-radio.biz Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/flexradio%40flex-radio.biz/ Knowledge Base: http://kc.flex-radio.com/ Homepage: http://www.flex-radio.com/ _______________________________________________ FlexRadio Systems Mailing List [email protected] http://mail.flex-radio.biz/mailman/listinfo/flexradio_flex-radio.biz Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/flexradio%40flex-radio.biz/ Knowledge Base: http://kc.flex-radio.com/ Homepage: http://www.flex-radio.com/
