Make sure 2.0.16 is installed, then you need to download these two files:

FLEX-1500 Driver Patch Kit for PowerSDR v2.0.16 Installation & Troubleshooting
Guide

FLEX-1500 Driver Patch Kit for PowerSDR v2.0.16, rev E.

I recommend running Steps 1, 2 and 5 in that order. I suspect Step 5 will
solve your problem, but do 1 & 2 first. If that doesn't get you going, then do
Step 3 if it is applicable. Step 4 solves some connectivity problems too, but
if you had it working previously, it probably will not make a difference.

If all those steps fail, then do Step 6 and Contact Dudley @ FlexRadio support

Subject: [Flexradio] FLEX-1500

Hi FLEXers,

After having fun yesterday trying out 60 meters, this morning my FLEX-1500
(rig) seems to be dead. It will not receive. I believe this condition is called
"flat line," as that is what I am seeing on my screen. The bottom half of my
screen is gray, with a flat top. The radio will neither go into transmit nor
receive.

I have had this radio since September, and this is the first time I've seen
this condition. This rig has worked exquisitely until now.

I am running PowerSDR v. 2.0.8, as that was on the original disc that came with
the rig. I was just about to work up my courage to transfer over to v.
2.0.16...

I am running the rig on my Dell Dimension C521 desktop computer:
AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual
Core Processor 3600+
1.9 GHz, 3.43 GB of RAM
Microsoft Windows XP
Professional
Version 2002
Service Pack 3

I turned off my computer, and rebooted. I had nothing else running on the
computer.
I turned on the FLEX-1500 and heard the double tone in the speaker, as usual.
But when I clicked on the FLEX icon, and clicked on the start button, I saw the
same flat line.

So I disconnected the Tokyo HY-Power HL-45B amplifier, and even removed the
amplifier cable with the RS-232 9-Pin plug from the back of the rig.
I unplugged everything. I then connected the antenna coax, the power cord/plug,
and the cable which runs to the USB port on the back of my computer.
All with the same result: a flat line when I started up PowerSDR.

Then I clicked Reset Database, and, after turning everything back on I got that
same flat line.
I imported the database that was working yesterday, with the same result:
the flat line.

I tested my antenna with another radio and it is up and working, even in the
cold weather and high winds we are experiencing here in southwestern Virginia.
So the antenna and its coax are in good shape.

I tried and tried and tried to turn on the rig, all with the same flat line
result.

I don't know what to do next. I have the rig sitting in the middle of my desk,
with only the power plug, the USB cable, the plug for my external speakers and
the antenna coax connected; every time I push the Off/On switch the blue light
comes on and usually I can hear the double-tone in the external speakers. Now,
sometimes that double tone is sort of muffled; and sometimes I don't hear the
double tone at all... Right now I am getting the muffled sound... I don't know
if this means anything.

I have fallen in love with this radio. Is there anyone out there who can help
me to get it up and running properly again--PLEASE?

TIA, and 73,

Carter
