Carter, If you want to stay with 2.0.8, be sure to check your Windows Default sound settings.. Plug and Pray (Play) has a habit of assigning the last sound driver to your default Windows sounds.
With the 2.0.16 version, the sound card conflicts will go away. And as Tim suggested, you will need to run the Driver Patch file to make sure the 2.0.8 drivers are removed and replaced with the 2.0.16 USB drivers..
