Rick, I have not used a Yaesu mic, but in my experience if you are getting echo there is too much mic drive in the line. You didn't say if you were using any type of preamp or processing and that is were the problem comes in. Another issue I have not experienced but has been on the reflector a number of times is the proper connection of the mic +/_ lines and the ground. Make sure the mic is connected per the manual. 73 George W2GS
