John,
Did you notice that your Preamp goes from 0 on 2 meters to +20 on 10 meters? Does that make a difference?

Subject: [Flexradio] Flex-1500 HF IF vs XVTR IF Noise Level

Gentlemen,

After extensive playing with 2.0.19RC1 using my Flex-1500 and DEMI 144-28 tranverter, I noted an anomaly. The tranverter uses 28MHz as an IF source, which is very common.

It appears the noise floor raises 20dBm when switching from the HF band 28MHz to the PSDR XVTR in the VHF 2 setup.

If we are still using the same 28MHz band and just 'fooling' the operator by displaying the 2 meter XVTR frequencies offsets on PSDR, then why is the noise floor higher?

See the video below. It will show you what I am experiencing. Both the HF 28Mhz and XVTR setups are using the same antenna, the XVRX and XVTX/COM.

No tranverter is connected during this test and 50 loads are installed on all Flex-1500 antenna jacks.
