For what it is worth, I went out and purchased this machine from Newegg, along with a SIIG firewire card (from Amazon.com) and... That combination works like a champ with my f3k! I got it for $399 but I think it has gone up to $430 from Newegg. I use my f3k when I teach my licensing classes and this deal was a real find for me.
