Hi Ron,

Can you share how your Flex radio was damaged?  I also experience
occasional mental glitches, and anything I can learn to help prevent
damage to the radio might be helpful.

I share your enthusiasm about the Flex radios & PSDR.  I recently
owned a K3 and then an IC7600.  They were both fine radios, but I
wasn't satisfied with a variety of features.  I was considering an
IC7800 when I decided to give the 5000A a look.  I always thought I
was a "knobs & buttons guy", but it turns out that I'm actually more
of a "graphical interface guy".  At this point, I consider the the
5000A to be the best radio for me--I wouldn't trade it for anything
else out there (or I already would have).
