Michael, et Al.:

You know, when no one ever pays any attention to you (my lifetime experience) then you can pretty much say what you will without fear of hurting anyone with bad information! So here goes....

I've had my 3000 since shortly after they were available. Being retired and on a fixed income I have few worries about "gamer-class" computers. Since day one, my fire wire card and cable have been the original (selected from the lists of Flex Radio) and the computer is a rebuilt eBay $140 special which has never been connected to the internet and aside from the rare universal computer hic cups which require a reboot I simply don't have any of the "problems" I read about so often on this reflector.

Oh, and I did want to mention that there are five PCs running in the shack. 5000A, knob and button, etc. each has its own computer. I don't try to push things. That's the same philosophy I use with the XYL and then things usually go smoothly. And I do realize that when Gerald gives me the new software I might have to get a new computer---maybe $160.

Subject: [Flexradio] Power Out failure - 3000 W7 64 bit

I seem to have this intermittent problem and I have been working directly
with Tim and Gerald on this as well as other areas within the Flex team.
