I didn't know what radio you had, but that doesn't really make a difference. 99% of PowerSDR works the same for all radios and the information on those common features is redundant in all manuals

So for your specific radio, refer to pages 65-67
http://support.flexradio.com/Downloads.aspx?id=342

2. that is the procedure i have used for some time....and it does not work..any more...
 since 2.0.16, anyway..

I just verified that it does indeed work with 2.0.22, 2.1.5 and 2.2.2BETA
Do a database reset and test if before importing any data. If it does not work, then open a Helpdesk ticket (http://helpdesk.flexradio.com) and one of the support engineers will set up a sked to do a Crossloop session into your PC and see what the issue is.

Of course you can redefine the Mode specific RX filter banks

Refer to pages 80-82 in the FLEX-5000 Owners Manual

you can not duplicate my issue, if you re-define the filter width
    as i described previously ?

I don't know what to tell you, but it works for me.

I set the parameter in the Setup as I indicated.

Created a VAR1 filter by dragging the panadapter filter
shirts to something other than the default
Cycled through the 20m bandstack settings to make sure it "stuck"
        Shut down PowerSDR
Powered up PowerSDR and my VAR1 filter was the same as when I
        shut down.

They most certainly do "stick". You just have to
            configure PowerSDR to
            make them persistent.

Open up Setup. Navigate to the General->Filters tab. Check the box
            besides "Save Slider/Display changes"

challenges with CW, but has worked hard to make a top
shelf unit for the number one mode. With that in mind,
