Bill, I don't think you're missing a thing. I had the same experience. Loaded 2.2.3, fresh database, did not import anything, ran the program the first time and selected the IK3VIG black skin. Everything was fine.
Next time I started Power SDR, the colors on the IK3VIG skin were screwed up, you couldn't see some of the buttons, and nothing I could do would fix it. I finally had to select a different skin which was fine. Have not restarted Power SDR again to see what will happen with the new skin I picked.
