Steve, IMHO, an IC-7000 will give you what you want. A minor mod, which any youngster can pull off. Or like I did a few martinis and I was on the air for MARS, MARINE, HAM--VHF AND HF SSB,CW, DIGITIAL PACTOR (scs modem) Airmail. Sail Mail. the whole ball of wax. One radio. Been there Done it.
