I would like to know which microphones sound good with the Flex 1500. I am trying out a Heil Pro-Micro which seems to work fine though notice it has a lot of gain as I have to keep the microphone gain near 2 or I exceed the suggested ALC zone. The amount of gain from the mic also makes it difficult to use the processing (DX , Compander) . The microphone need not be a boom set but wonder if other Heil headsets are a better bet. Need not be Heil . Any advice would be appreciated . I am after a full bodied audio as opposed to a restricted DX audio. Thanks. Mike.
