The gaming community pays a lot attention to turning off optional
services to tweak every available cycle out of the system. A Google
search on something like "optimizing windows for gaming" will give you
tons of hits and hints. Here is a good example:

Not sure if any of the many optional services listed are required by
PowerSDR, but you'll find out quickly. For the record, it has been
several years since I've had to strip down Windows. My current PC runs
PowerSDR without any performance problems. Rarely is CPU usage over 10%.
I've even been running PowerSDR in the foreground with a Premiere Pro
render in the background (major CPU core and memory hog) and PowerSDR
didn't skip a beat.

Hi Folks!
Is there a defined checklist of common Windows XP or 7 elements that need to
be checked, adjusted, turned off, etc. to optimize the PC for use with the
Flex?
A how-to guide of this sort would be of great help, but I didn't see one
around in the usual spots. Am I missing something or is this not available
in a consolidated package somewhere?
Thanks& 73,
