Fellow Flex'ers

I have had my Flex 3000 for about 2.5 years. Mostly CW (90%), some digital
and SSB (10%).

Not until I started asking questions this week did I realize how in-the-dark
I was regarding the AMAZING capabilities of the Flex on SSB for transmit.

Let's put aside the wonderful receive capabilities (filters, equalizer) for
a minute. All this time I was using the default audio TX settings for SSB,
and I was cheating myself and not optimizing my output.

I read some VITAL, CRITICAL information here:
http://flexradiowiki.com/frsradoiowiki/index.php?title=Setting_Audio_Gain
and I realized that I was nowhere near optimized with my handheld
microphone.

Then it dawned on me that Flex offers the ability to optimize the audio
output for any microphone. W1AEX demonstrated that in the post above.
Simply astounding. And here I was for the last 2.5 years, ignorant of the
power of TX .

Thanks to all who helped me, esp W7NEE (Jeff) and W3XO (Bill).
