As long as FlexRadio doesn't feel that way I guess I should be > OK... > Sure it is obsolete. Obsolete doesn't mean useless. And I own and use lots of obsolete things. My car is a 1990 and is obsolete. I have multiple vacuum-tube radios that are obsolete. My airplane was made in 1965 and is obsolete. And, yes, the SDR-1000 is obsolete which is why Flex manufactures the 5000, 3000, and 1500, but not the SDR-1000. The point of my posting is that the Genesis, which they are touting as state-of-the-art, is essentially a copy of a discontinued radio. If I were going to build a new transceiver today, I would not base the PA on a 6146A and then try to convince people it was state-of-the-art. But that doesn't make your SDR-1000 useless. -- Brian Lloyd, WB6RQN/J79BPL 3191 Western Dr. Cameron Park, CA 95682 br...@lloyd.com +1.767.617.1365 (Dominica) +1.916.877.5067 (USA) _______________________________________________ FlexRadio Systems Mailing List FlexRadio@flex-radio.biz http://mail.flex-radio.biz/mailman/listinfo/flexradio_flex-radio.biz Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/flexradio%40flex-radio.biz/ Knowledge Base: http://kc.flexradio.com/ Homepage: http://www.flexradio.com/
