Subject: Re: [Flexradio] Genesis radio software (SDR1000 obsolete?)

Now wait a minute. I'll have you know that at the moment a fine old 160 meter Dentron transverter with 6146A (not 6146B) is on my work bench waiting for me to get it down to 600 meters! I have a brand new (I know it is because I bought it from Allied Radio in 1961) waiting to be used, if required.

> The point of my posting is that the Genesis, which they are touting as
state-of-the-art, is essentially a copy of a discontinued radio. If I were
going to build a new transceiver today, I would not base the PA on a 6146A
and then try to convince people it was state-of-the-art.
