Yes. Take a look at http://flexradiowiki.com for a discussion of how to use VAC and virtual serial ports to make PowerSDR work with many different kinds of program, e.g. fldigi, HRD, MixW, WSPR, JT-65, etc. Opinion section: when presented with the option of running HRD or fldigi, I found fldigi to be much easier to deal with. It takes less real-estate on the display, easier to set up, and easier to use, while still providing about 98% of the functionality of HRD.
