I would connect it to the radio through an RF limiter like the ones
formerly sold by ICE and now sold by Array Solutions....just to be
safe.

BTW....If anyone is interested, I have one of the Clifton Labs
versions available (without the stinger) for only $50.  I had two of
them phased with the DXE NCC-1 but now I have the Hi-Z 4SQ array.  I
still  use one of the Clifton Labs antennas but the other one is just
sitting here.
