I would connect it to the radio through an RF limiter like the ones formerly sold by ICE and now sold by Array Solutions....just to be safe.
http://www.arraysolutions.com/Products/as_rxfep.htm BTW....If anyone is interested, I have one of the Clifton Labs versions available (without the stinger) for only $50. I had two of them phased with the DXE NCC-1 but now I have the Hi-Z 4SQ array. I still use one of the Clifton Labs antennas but the other one is just sitting here. http://cliftonlaboratories.com/z1501_active_antenna.htm 73 Greg On 4/23/13, Rick McClelland, AA5S <aa5s.r...@gmail.com> wrote: > Does anyone have any thoughts at to whether active receive antennas such as > DX Engineering's Active Antenna Phasing Systems AAPS3-1P ( > http://www.dxengineering.com/parts/dxe-aaps3-1p) or Pixel Technologies' > Shortwave Magnetic Loop Antenna RF Pro-1B ( > http://www.pixelsatradio.com/product/shortwave-magnetic-loop-antenna/) will > perform well with the Flex 6700?
