Similar problem with a 5000 and a straight key, switched to the 5000 CW program
where I typed the letters and it worked.

I experienced a lock up on transmit near the end of an hour+ long rag chew QSO
with
my Flex-1500 and PowerSDR 2.7.2.  I was using an external keyer, but I
encountered some
problems with dirty contacts on my paddles so I switched over to my bug to
finish off the QSO.

I was sending mid-sentence and suddenly found that I could no longer key the
rig.
Stopping and re-Starting Power SDR fixed it and I was then able to complete the
QSO without issues.
This is the first time I have encountered this. I am using a quad-core AMD
A10-4600m-based laptop
running WIN 8.1, with lots of horsepower.
