Julian: I noticed that MetaKit failed to *finish* the make process when I installed it the other evening. However, it failed after it had already installed the required libraries (at least it did so on my system). It *may* be that this is occuring on your system, as well. Did you try "make install" on metakit, and then trying to build SimGear? You might give that a shot. Maybe your metakit build was "good enough"?
