Doing a google on "rsync cygwin" pulled up this post that claims that it works normally out of the box. You have to build it yourself, or did as of a year ago anyway. http://www.cygwin.com/ml/cygwin-apps/2001-01/msg00021.html The rsync distribution is tiny -- less than half the size of metakit. And it has zero meaningful dependencies (file system access and the sockets API). I don't see any particular reason we can't require it as part of the SimGear build. Even so, there's still no reason fgfs can't try to spawn an rsync on the assumption that it exists on the users path. If it fails it fails; having no scenery is a non-fatal error condition that the user would have had to deal with anyway. Andy -- Andrew J.
