Just out of curiosity, what problems are you finding? I'm using the latest Gnome from Debian unstable, and it doesn't seem to cause any problems. I've tried KDE a few times but it just rubs me the wrong way and ends up getting uninstalled (even though I'm sure it's just as good technically). Hopefully, in another year or two, the two developer communities will come together.
