yes it is, but not in the actual aircraft - many of these preview pictures are based on computer generated images for media purposes, on the other hand there are also simulators being developed that cannot yet make use of the real hardware and hence seem to use a workaround - using a LCD (touchscreen) as the overhead panel does reduce development costs, you don't need to use -not yet existing- hardware but can rather display a basic representation of the controls that are supposed to be available and can easily integrate an interface with the rest of the simulator components, but there are more recent pictures of the A380 available at airbus.com.
