That's a problem in real life as well -- when you go heads-down in the
cockpit for too long, you can easily look up again and find yourself
in a 45 degree bank.  As others have mentioned, keeping the plane in
good trim is critical.  It's also important to glance at instruments
quickly and then return to forward view.
