OK. :-) The textures are currently not in a releasable state. Especially in the light of this: * Curtis L. However, they are very > nice and probably worth every bit of memory they consume. At least the six town textures are *not* worth every bit of memory. They needlessly waste people's texture memory. city[123].rgb and Town[123].rgb are each made of four identical quarters, which makes 75% of their area completely redundant. And it introduces artificially what every texture maker tries hard to avoid: repeating patterns. Town1.rgb and Town2.rgb are identical, just rotated by 90 degree. And city[123].rgb are IMHO too fine grained. One probably has to turn on some heavy filtering to make them acceptable. Looks like they are scaled down too much. If this can't be fixed in time, then I'd reduce the six textures to that non-redundant quarter at least. But again: they non-builtup areas look great. (I disabled the city/town textures here on my machine and I'm using Erik's better crafted ones, which are only a bit too brownish in contrast to the new forest.) m. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by xPML, a groundbreaking scripting language that extends applications into web and mobile media.
