It certainly is. Here with MSVC8/Win32 frame rates are the same or better for cockpit views of 3D panel models when compared to plib. 2D models remain 25% down. Interestingly, external views also remain about 25% down, and are often worse than the cockpit view. I can't think why this might be so, but it's a fault in the right direction. KSFO has a huge effect on frame rates - 50% reduction compared with over the sea, but I have not seen the effects described by Georg. There is still some bad news - the frame rates fluctuates wildly between 1-3 and 50-51 and then there is a not infrequent hang while the computer goes and does something else. > > > Then the BAD NEWS: > > 1.
